Vyapar is the right tool for a great many businesses and outgrowing it is a good sign. The question is not whether it is any good — it is whether the work it does not do has quietly become bigger than the work it does.

If your accountant exports your data and reconstructs the accounts in their own software each quarter, you are paying for the accounting twice and waiting three weeks to know what the business made. That is the clearest signal of all.
One location is a number; two is a system, with transfers, per-location reorder levels and the question of which godown to sell from. Most businesses cross this line without noticing until a stock count goes badly wrong.
Attendance, statutory deductions and a salary journal that posts to the ledger are not a billing problem. A spreadsheet copes to roughly the tenth employee and then stops coping quietly.
A full accounting system: tBiz, Tally, Busy or Zoho Books depending on whether you want cloud or desktop and how much stock depth you need. Moving to another billing app solves nothing — if myBillBook is what you are considering, you are making a sideways move.
When your CA rebuilds your accounts outside the software, when stock is held in more than one place, or when you start running a payroll. Any one of those means the billing app is now the smaller half of the job.
tBiz has a free plan with one company, GST invoicing, vouchers and ledgers, which is enough to run a small set of books properly. It is capped, and the caps are published, because a "free" tier that quietly stops working mid-month helps nobody.
Less than people fear if you move at a year end: parties, items and balances import, and you start the new year clean rather than replaying old transactions. Mid-year moves are where migrations get painful.
If anyone outside your business reads your accounts — a bank, an investor, the tax authority, a buyer — then yes, and sooner is cheaper than later. If nobody does, a billing app may genuinely be enough for now.
Parties, items and opening balances come across as CSV. Move at the financial year end — it makes the change clean and the comparatives easy.
Import your parties and items free, and open the new year on books that will still make sense in five.
