Marg has a deep hold in pharma distribution for a good reason: it was built around batch numbers, expiry dates and the particular rhythm of a distributor’s day. This comparison is about whether you need that depth on a desktop, or the same depth plus the rest of the business on a browser.

Both products track batch and expiry properly. The difference is who else can see it — in tBiz the salesman on the route, the branch manager and the owner are looking at the same near-expiry list, without anybody exporting it at the end of the day.
Van sales, geofenced check-ins and collections recorded at the customer’s counter post into the same books as the counter sale. A distributor running a separate field app and a separate ledger spends a real part of every month reconciling the two.
A distributor with forty people has a payroll problem, an attendance problem and a documents problem. In tBiz those are modules of the same system as the stock, which is the whole argument for one ledger.
Pharma-specific depth and filing. Marg’s scheme handling, supplier file formats and portal connectors are mature and ours are not — tBiz prepares and validates e-invoices and e-way bills but does not yet transmit them, and there is no Marg importer, so a migration is a CSV exercise done with our team rather than a one-click import.
No — there is no Marg importer today, and we would rather say so than let you find out during onboarding. Parties, items, batch stock and opening balances come across as CSV exports, and our team runs that import with you, which normally takes under a week.
Yes. Batch is recorded on the invoice line, picking suggests the earliest expiry first, near-expiry stock is reported per warehouse, and a recall resolves to every customer who received a given batch in one query.
Yes, on the Android app, against live stock and the customer’s credit limit, with collections recorded at the counter. That is usually the strongest single reason a distributor moves.
For batch, expiry, multi-godown stock, credit control and the field team, yes. What it does not have is Marg’s pharmaceutical scheme and rate-structure handling built to the trade’s conventions — if your business runs on those, test them carefully before committing.
There is no direct Marg importer. Parties, items, batches and opening balances come across as CSV, and the onboarding team does the first import with you — normally inside a week.
Put one van salesman on the app for a fortnight and compare the orders, the collections and the arguments.
