E-invoicing, with the rejections caught before you send

Most e-invoice pain is not the portal — it is the twelve invoices a month the portal sends back. tBiz validates the payload against the schema while you are still on the invoice, and keeps a register of everything that has not been reported yet.

What you get

Validation before it fails

GSTIN format and check digit, HSN presence, unit codes, place of supply and rate combinations are checked while the invoice is still open — not after a rejection comes back.

A register of what is pending

One screen showing every invoice that still needs an IRN, oldest first. The thing you do not want to discover at filing time is which ones were missed.

Threshold flagging

tBiz marks the invoices that require an IRN, so a B2C sale and an exempt supply are not chased and a B2B one is never quietly skipped.

IRN and QR on your template

Once an invoice is reported, its IRN, acknowledgement number and signed QR print on your own document layout, in the place the rules require.

Cancellation window tracked

tBiz knows how long you have to cancel a reported invoice and blocks the edits that would invalidate the IRN after it.

Carried into GSTR-1

A reported invoice takes its IRN into the return working, so the register you file from and the portal agree about what was reported.

How it works

  1. Enter the invoice. The ordinary sales voucher — party, items, HSN, rates. Nothing about e-invoicing changes how it is typed.
  2. tBiz validates. The e-invoice payload is built and checked against the schema, and anything that would be rejected is shown against the field that caused it.
  3. Report it. Reporting goes to the IRP through a GSP connection configured for your workspace. Until that connection is in place, invoices queue in the pending register rather than silently claiming an IRN they do not have.
  4. File. Reported invoices flow into the GSTR-1 working with their IRN attached.

E-invoicing questions

Which businesses must issue e-invoices under GST?

E-invoicing applies to B2B supplies by businesses above the turnover threshold notified by the GST Council, which has been lowered several times since 2020. tBiz flags the invoices that need an IRN against whichever threshold applies to you, so the answer does not depend on somebody remembering.

What does tBiz do about invoices that have not been reported?

They sit in a pending register, oldest first, and stay visible until they are reported or cancelled. Nothing is marked as reported unless an IRN actually came back for it.

Can I cancel an e-invoice?

Within the cancellation window the IRP allows, yes — and tBiz tracks that window per invoice. After it closes the correct instrument is a credit note, which tBiz links to the original document.

Do I need a separate utility to prepare the JSON?

No. The payload is built from the invoice you already raised, and validated against the schema in the same step, so there is no export-edit-upload loop and no second copy of the invoice to keep in step.
